Accelerated Reader is designed to encourage students to read at their own level, measure their progress by taking quizzes, and move to the next reading level. As students practice and their reading improves, they can enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and success and are encouraged to read more.

At the Middle School, students earn points by taking AR quizzes on the computer. At the end of the year they can use their points to bid on prizes during our silent auction.

Mrs. Metzger's students are required to earn 25 points each nine weeks. She encourages her students to read a variety of books at or above their level for AR.
