Jimmy McPeek Recognized with Best Support Staff Award by Ohio Middle Level Association

Jimmy McPeek, head custodian for Indian Valley Middle School (IVMS), was recognized by the Ohio Middle Level Association (OMLA) at its annual state conference on October 28, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio.  McPeek received the Best Support Staff Award for the East Region.  In his 11th year as head custodian, McPeek said, “It’s an honor to serve the students and staff of IVMS.  I enjoy the people I work with and just want to make the building a place they enjoy coming.”  Principal Brent Carter said, “Jimmy is an all-star and does all-star work.  His positive attitude and the way he takes care of our students and staff is immeasurable.”

Founded in 1973 by a group of middle level educators, OMLA is the fastest growing professional organization in Ohio with more than 9,500 members. OMLA’s purpose is to promote the middle level concept and provide a medium for those involved with Ohio’s elementary, middle and junior high schools to share with one another.

McPeek and his wife Kaila reside in Tippecanoe with their three children: Ethan, Landon, and Kynlie.
